Decision Made On Farm Winery Proposal In North Branford

BREAKING: A vote was taken Thursday night on the proposal.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT – A farm winery won unanimous approval from the Planning and Zoning Commission on Thursday night.

The winery sits between the popular Rose Orchards Farms and Van Wilgen’s Garden Center on Branford Road – right before the Branford town line.

The owner of the land is Alfred Rose of the Rose Orchard family.

Work at the site has been going on for months, leading to those speculating driving by the very busy area that a winery might be in the cards.

After a public hearing on Thursday without any objection, zoners voted 4-0 to approve the winery.

Bob Rose said Friday morning they are “shooting for one year from now, give or take” to have the winery up and running.
