Driver Killed in North Branford Crash
Two others were injured in the early Tuesday crash on Route 22 in the Northford section of town.

A man has died following a two-car head-on collision Tuesday on Route 22 in the Northford section of North Branford.
Police Lt. Gary Ripa confirmed the man’s death to The New Haven Register. Two others were injured in the crash, that occurred just before 8 a.m. on Route 22 near the intersection with Tommy’s Path, according to the report. The identities of those involved in the crash, including the man who died, were not immediately available.
The man driving a 2003 Nissan Sentra died from his injuries at Yale-New Haven Hospital, according to the report.

A portion of Route 22, that’s also known as Forest Road, was closed between Totoket and Augur roads while police and members of the South Central Connecticut Regional Traffic Unit investigated.
