Eastern Connecticut Ballet Presents "The Magic Toy Shoppe"

On Mother’s Day weekend, Eastern Connecticut Ballet will stage two matinee performances of “The Magic Toy Shoppe,” a playful, vibrant ballet that will delight all ages. The ballet’s story unfolds in a small shop where, each night after closing time, toys from around the world come to life. Children are invited onstage to take photos with dancers after the performance. Raffle for an American Girl doll and a selection of toys from the wondrous toy department of sponsor The Bowerbird are among the prizes. Donate a toy for the toy drive, coordinated by Lymes’ Youth Service Bureau to benefit area children’s hospitals and shelters, and receive a complimentary raffle ticket. Advance show tickets are sold at Eastern CT Ballet and The Bowerbird and are $12 for children; $18 for adults. At the door, tickets are $14 for children and $20 for adults.
