Energy Assistance Program Date extended

This is to inform you that DSS will be extending the end date for ALL households to apply for energy assistance to Tuesday, May 31, 2016 regardless of the source of their primary heat. This will provide the opportunity for households, especially those whose primary heat is electric or natural gas who will not receive a shutoff notice until after May 16th, the current end date for households that fit in that category, to complete an energy assistance application.The program has income and assets limits.
