Originally produced in 1943, this musical which boasts classic songs such as “Surrey with a Fringe on Top”, “People Will Say We’re in Love”, “Oh, What a Beautiful Morning” and of course “Oklahoma!” was the first collaboration between Rodgers and Hammerstein and is the first R & H musical produced by NBHS Drama. The musical tells the story of the high-spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys. This provides a colorful background against which Curly (played by senior Stephen Krom), a handsome cowboy, and Laurey (played by Laurin Gagne), a winsome farm girl, play out their love story.
