Evergreen Woods Hosts Exciting Cultural Programs in April
A series of exciting cultural programs will be hosted at Evergreen Woods, a full service retirement community in North Branford, in April.

A series of exciting cultural programs will be hosted at Evergreen Woods, a full service retirement community in North Branford, in April 2016.
The Survivors Swing Band bring the swingin’ sounds of their seven-piece band to the community on Monday, April 18 at 7:30 pm. Comprised of seniors from the area, The Survivors lend their extensive musical experience to produce a hit sound for all audiences featuring favorites like Ain’t She Sweet and Moonlight Serenade.
On Friday, April 22 at 3:00 pm, Yale professor Dr. Nancy Kerk presents GMOs and The Food You Eat during Evergreen Academy, Evergreen Woods’s interactive learning experiences with subject matter experts and professors.

During the presentation, Dr. Kerk will examine the field of molecular biology, how science allows us to change the make-up of various crops and what genetically modified foods (GMOs) mean for our diets.
The opera comes to the community on Monday, April 25 at 7:30 pm when Hillhouse Opera Company performs selections from a variety of operas as well as Broadway productions including selections from Rigoletto, Carmen and Fiddler on the Roof.

Free and open to the public, the events will be held at Evergreen Woods, located at 88 Notch Hill Road in North Branford. Seats must be reserved in advance.
