Guilford Savings Bank's New Northford Location Opens In October

NORTHFORD, CT —GSB’s newest branch office will officially open in mid-October, bringing greater convenience and community banking to Northford. The opening of this newest location continues the bank’s mission to offer customers greater accessibility, convenience, and best-in-class community banking throughout the Connecticut Shoreline and beyond.

New and existing customers can expect the same, high bar for the financial services advice and expertise they deserve. Staffed with local banking, lending, and business experts, including a hometown connection, customers entering the lobby will be greeted by a friendly team member who — with the aid of a tablet — will guide the customer to the appropriate service or product best suited to their unique needs.

Established in 1875 as The Guilford Savings Bank, but more commonly known as GSB, the mission-driven financial institution made headlines by donating $100,000 to four regional community foundations in the early days of the pandemic, as well as more than $20,000 to the broader North Haven/Northford community. The new branch office — GSB’s eighth location —adds to the existing full-service banking centers in Old Saybrook, Madison, North Madison, Guilford Green, Guilford Plaza, Branford, and North Haven, which recently opened in March 2021, at 158 Washington Avenue.

Jeff Hanrahan has been named as branch manager of the Northford branch office. Hanrahan brings over six years of experience in banking and branch leadership. Additionally, he has a background in retail; dedicated to helping people with sales, service and business development. Hanrahan’s passion lies in helping each person achieve their financial goals and was identified as the right fit for the community.
