Hamden Symphony Orchestra Presents 'Virtuosity, Elegance and Innovation'

Hamden Symphony Orchestra concludes its 53rd season with a program of “Virtuosity, Elegance, & Innovation” on Sunday April 26th at 3 PM at Hamden Memorial Town Hall (2372 Whitney Avenue, Hamden). This performance features the winners of the 2015 Young Musicians Concerto Competition: Shira Bedford, cello, Sara Scanlon, cello, & Mark Xu, violin of Weston. The world-premiere of “Fanfare” by Connecticut-based composer Mark Kuss will also be presented. Rounding out the program are works highlighting two notable European ballroom dance styles, the Viennese Waltz & Polonaise. A $10 suggested donation will be accepted at the door ($5 for students and seniors).
