Here Are The 10 Most Dangerous Roads In North Branford

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — North Branford’s most dangerous roadway over the past four years is Route 80 with nearly 300 crashes.

The UConn Connecticut Crash Data Repository has crunched data from The Department of Public Safety and the state Department of Transportation.

These are North Branford’s most dangerous roads and routes from the past four years:

6. Village Street (16)
7. Twin Lakes Road (15)

There were four fatal North Branford crashes, 23 with suspected serious injuries and 116 with suspected minor injuries. Overall there were 969 crashes between 2015 and halfway through December 2018.

There were more than 431,000 crashes crashes on Connecticut roads and highways between 2015 and Dec. 17, 2018, according to the repository. Of that 1,074 involved fatal injuries.

The top 10 routes for crashes in Connecticut from 2015 to 2018 are:

• Rt. 10 (7,063

About three-quarters of all crashes happened during dry conditions.
