Hilarious Musical: "The Producers"

Backstage Players proudly presents the award-winning musical comedy “The Producers” at Andrews Memorial Theater in Clinton, Friday, March 27 through Saturday March 28 at 7 p.m. There are also two matinee performances at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29. The original hilarious Mel Brooks movie was turned into a stage musical that swept the Tony awards. Packed with witty jokes and amusing songs, the plot centers on two inept producers trying to make two million dollars by producing a Broadway flop and hiding the funding. Jailed when their horrible play turns into a surprise hit, the two redeem themselves and become successful producers. The theater is in the Clinton, CT Town Hall, 54 East Main Street.
