Italian Restaurant Applies to Sell Beer, Wine Near North Branford School

Town officials recently changed the regulations.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT - Pacileo's Apizza & Pasta on Foxon Road in North Branford is going before the Planning & Zoning Commission this week seeking permission to serve wine and beer next door to Jerome Harrison Elementary School.

The Sound reports that the restaurant can apply to the commission for permission following a recent decision allowing establishments near schools, churches and other similar locations to sell or serve some alcohol.

In the past, the town required a minimum 500-foot buffer between such locations and an establishment selling wine or beer.
