Jennie Fresa’s Basic Skin Care Tips

How to keep your skin in great shape.

Debbie’s Daily Dose of Food for Thought

“Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-a@@ red lipstick.” Gwyneth Paltrow

Yes, being comfortable with who you are is important (and so is a fun shade of lipstick)! However, there are things you can to make sure you are looking your best. As promised, here I am with some quick and easy-to-follow skin care guidelines recently shared with me. Her philosophy about proper skin care is “Keep it simple,” especially because Jennie finds that many American women over treat their skin. Here are a few things to know about taking good care of your skin.

How to Properly Clean Your Skin

Cleaning your skin should not be overlooked and shouldn't take long. First, suds up a dime-sized dab of cleanser in your hands. Gently rub it on your face, washing with a face cloth for 10 seconds using a circular motion. Rinse with 10 cupped hands of lukewarm water then hydrate using a product full of antioxidants and sun protection suitable for your skin type. Your glowing face will thank you!

It is best to use a get or foaming cleanser on your skin during the warm days of summer. Don’t forget to put on your appropriate sun protection when you are done!

Wintertime Care

Heat and dry air create tough conditions for your skin. Use a milky cleanser to clean you face in the winter, followed by your moisturizing cream and make-up.

Facials

Jennie recommends having a deep cleansing facial with the change of the seasons or anytime you want to balance out your skin. This relaxing experience helps to rejuvenate and protect your skin.

Debbie’s Tip: Eating a healthy diet, exercising and getting enough sleep also help keep your skin healthy!
