Lenore Capasso, 59, North Branford Resident and Co-owner of Moon Cutter Company

Lenore Moon Capasso, age 59, of North Branford passed away suddenly at her home. She was the beloved wife of Mike Capasso.

Lenore was born in New Haven on January 15, 1957 to Eleonore-Anna Bormann Moon and the late Charlie D. Moon of East Haven.

Lenore was the co-owner and operator of Moon Cutter Company of Hamden, a company started by her father. Lenore was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time in her condo in Florida. Her greatest joy came from the time spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her granddaughter, Emma, wanted everyone to know that Lenore’s husband, children, and grandchildren love her very much and she loved them as well.

She is survived by her husband Mike and their three children, Melissa (Jude) Wojciechowski of North Branford, Maegan (Emilio) Andrade of Plano, Texas and Michael Capasso of North Branford, as well as her two grandchildren Emma and Paige Wojciechowski. Lenore is also survived by her two brothers, Robert (Josee) Moon and Charles (Shari) Moon of East Haven and her sister, Dorothy (Charlie) Rome of East Haven. Lenore was predeceased by her sister, Shirley Tolmei of East Haven. She also leaves behind a brother-in-law Peter Tolmei as well as many and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit the Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Road, North Branford on Wednesday, August 3 from 6-8 PM. Burial will be private.
