Levine and Parisi Honored by Rotary Club

Two North Branford High School seniors were recognized as Student of the Month by the Rotary Club of North Branford.

The Rotary Club of North Branford recognized Matthew Levine and Joe Parisi as Students of the Month at its May 16 meeting. 

Matthew Levine was recognized for mathematics. Levine has been a part of the  honors program for mathematics since he entered NBHS. His aptitude for mathematics as well as his critical thinking skills have continued to develop throughout his high school career.

Levine is a member of the National Honor Society and a recognized leader in the Boy Scout organization. He is also currently among the high school's top Advanced Placement calculus students, achieving top honors on his recent AP calculus final. Levine is an excellent representative of the success that NBHS encourages all students to strive for. He was joined by his parents Lisa and Bruce.

Joseph Parisi was honored for physical education. He has always been an excellent model for the expectations that are sought in physical education. He has been able to demonstrate the desired balance between a healthy competitive attitude and the compassion and patience to help those less skilled to develop their talents and have fun.

Parisi has been a leader and his work ethic has always been evident. His enjoyment in participating in all activities has been contagious. Over the past four years, he has voluntarily enrolled in two extra classes even though no credit was awarded. This young man is an excellent representative of the North Branford High School. He was joined by his parents Ann and Michael.
