Mark A. Pappacoda Jr., 18, North Branford Resident, Baseball and Hockey Player at NBHS

The following obituary of Mark A. Pappacoda Jr., 18, who was killed on Aug. 4 in a dirt bike accident from Porto Funeral Homes:

Mark A. Pappacoda Jr. 18, of North Branford born in New Haven on October 30, 1997 beloved son of Naomi M. Fresenius of West Haven and Mark A. Pappacoda Sr. of East Haven passed away on August 4, 2016 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Maternal grandson of Henry and Debra Powers Fresenius III of North Branford. Paternal grandson of Grace Ferraro Pappacoda of North Haven and the late Louis Pappacoda Sr. Mark was also survived by 3 sisters and the late Crystal Pappacoda and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

At the time of his death Mark worked in the warehouse for H.B. Communications. Mark attended North Branford High School where he played on the baseball and hockey teams, loved dirt bikes the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, Aug. 8, at Our Lady of Pompeii Church. Interment followed in All Saints Cemetery.
