Meet the Candidates Tonight

The North Branford Chamber of Commerce is hosting a 'Meet the Candidates' evening tonight, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. in the North Branford Town Council Chambers. The Chamber of Commerce has been hosting the event for about 20 years.

"We've always done it because there is no one else who does," said Chamber president Joanne Wentworth, who is also seeking a seat on the Town Council, which she has been a part of for more than 30 years. "We don't have a general meeting of candidates like most towns do."

Frank Mentone of the Totoket Times will moderate the event. Candidates seeking election for both the Town Council and Board of Education will all be given time to speak followed by a question and answer period in which the public can voice their concerns.
