Meriden Police: Wanted Minister Likely In Guatemala
Mayorga is wanted in Meriden on charges that he sexually assaulted a 12-year old girl.

Meriden Police now believe that the Wallingford minister that they announced a is in Guatemala.
"I have received reliable intelligence that Juan Mayorga is most likely in Guatamela," Det. Sgt. Rob Nesci in an e-mail Wednesday morning. "I will be trying to reach out to the authorities for their assistance and cooperation."

Mayorga, 40, is wanted in Meriden on charges that he sexually assaulted a 12-year old girl. Police said that the girl is not related to Mayorga's church, Tercera Alpha y Omega Church in Wallingford.
Mayorga reportedly fled his home in Meriden in May after charges were filed against him. A warrant was issued in July for his arrest.

The pastor, a native of Nicaragua, has lived in the area for about 20 years. Police announced Tuesday that he might be in Connecticut, Virginia, West Virginia or Flordia, in hopes that Mayorga would turn himself in, or that someone would recognize him.
According to police he is facing charges of first degree Sexual Assault, third degree Sexual Assault and Risk of Injury to a Minor.

Meriden Police announced on Oct. 18 that they are searching for a former minister at a church in Wallingford wanted on sexual assault and other charges.
Juan Mayorga, 40, is a 5'11 hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, and weighs about 190 pounds. According to police he is wanted by Meriden Police on charges of first-degree sexual assault, third-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.
Police say he could be in Connecticut, Virginia, West Virginia or Florida. Those with information on Mayorga are asked to contact Detective Jose Rivera at 203-630-6265.
