New Wheels for the North Branford Police Department

Just before Thanksgiving, three of the four new police cars for the North Branford Police Department had been delivered with the fourth on its way.

The need for new vehicles came up at the . North Branford's Town Council , though the for the new cars was .

The three new cars were attracting plenty of attention and were hard to miss parked in front of the police department. I snapped a few photos when I stopped by and North Branford Patch reader Rich Reder also took notice and submitted some photos (see photo gallery).

The cars now have to be outfitted with equipment and, of course, marked. Once they're back, four of the older cars in the fleet will be taken off the road and replaced with the brand new vehicles.
