NORTH BRANFORD, CT – A second winery may soon be operating in town if zoners approve. An application to allow a farm/winery use at 27 Branford Road will be the subject of a public hearing of the Planning and Zoning Commission at 7 p.m. this Thursday at Town Hall at 909 Foxon Road.
The land being eyed for the winery sits between the popular Rose Orchards Farms and Van Wilgen’s Garden Center on Branford Road – right before the Branford town line.

A sign by the location gave it away – that indeed there will be a public hearing this Thursday “requesting special use permit for farm winery use with related accessory uses.”
If a winery is approved it would become the second one in town.
Rosabianca Vineyards operates a few miles away on Middletown Avenue in the Northford section of town.
