North Branford 12U All-Star Softball Team Is Runner-Up in Section 1

North Branford Little League's 12U softball team made a run through the to take the title and earn a spot competing in the Section 1 championship. This was NBLL's second district title this season at the the District 4 championship.

The 12U team had a through the Sectional Tournament including a 15-2 win over Darien on July 9, a 6-5 win over Fairfield on July 10, a 6-4 win over Bristol on July 11 and a 14-8 win over Seymour on July 12.

The string of victories placed North Branford in the Section 1 finals where the 12U team was again pitted against Fairfield. With a trip to states on the line, rain slowed things down in the finals as the teams were faced with a rain delay. 

Fairfield jumped out to a 1-0 first-inning lead before going on to win 4-0 to end North Branford's season and move on to states.
