North Branford Child a Winner National Credit Union Youth Month Contest

Every April, the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) hosts National Credit Union Youth Month™ to show their young members how Credit Unions are the number one outlet for financial “fitness.” Connex Credit Union hosted a raffle in conjunction with this initiative for its members 16- years-old and younger. Santino Iamunno of North Branford was the lucky winner of a prize package from Connex’s Guilford Branch.

The theme of this year’s youth month was “Credit Union Strong.” In an effort to showcase credit unions as a source of financial strength, credit unions across the country participated in the initiative by hosting fitness-themed contests and activities.

Connex branches displayed fun sports and summer activities and equipment for children to win. Members 16 and under simply had to visit their local branch to enter the raffle.

“We are thrilled to assist our younger members in developing strong financial habits,” said Carl Casper, vice president of customer advocacy, Connex Credit Union. “National Credit Union Youth Month is a fun and exciting initiative that helps children begin their path to financial success.”

While National Credit Union Youth Month is specific to April, Connex Financial Advocates are available all year long to help younger members cultivate healthy financial habits.
