North Branford FD Receives OK to Build Fire Training Tower
The facility will be located off Forest Road.

The North Branford Fire Department has received unanimous approval from the Planning and Zoning Commission to build a fire training facility.
The approval was given Thursday night and construction is expected to begin next month, according to The Register. The steel fire training tower and burning building will be located on town property behind the public works facility off Forest Road and will allow the department’s 125 members to experience real-life training.
Fire Chief William Seward said the facility will eliminate the need to travel to other towns for some of the weekly drills firefighters attend, according to The Register article that can be found here.
