The North Branford Fire Department responded to a total of 143 calls last month, according to the latest report from town's Fire Marshal's Office. September's numbers are down slightly from August, when all four companies responded to a combination of 166 calls. And so far this year, department members have answered a total of 1,401 calls for service. Fire Blotter Breakdown Calls over the past month included: <ul> <li>Structure Fires - none                                  </li> <li>Emergency Medical Calls - 98</li> <li>Motor Vehicle Accidents - 11    </li> <li>Hazardous Conditions - 3           </li> <li>Public Service Calls - 23</li> <li>False Alarms - 8            </li> <li>Mutual Aid Calls - 25            </li> </ul> These numbers are totals for all of the companies of the North Branford Fire Department, which includes Company 1, Company 2, Company 3 and Company 4.
