North Branford Fire Department Headquarters Co. 1 Quickly Knocked Down Totoket Rd. Fire: FD

NOR BRANFORD, CT — A Totoket Road structure fire Tuesday was quickly knocked down by North Branford Fire Department Headquarters Company One, it was noted by the department on Facebook.

It was just before 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, when Company 1 was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 45 Totoket Road.

"Shortly after dispatch, East Haven Car 1 confirmed an exterior fire with extension into a 2-car detached garage," fire officials said.

In less than 10 minutes after dispatch, a crew of five placed a hand line in service, knocking down the majority of the fire.

One person was evaluated at the scene for smoke inhalation; there were no reported injuries.

The incident was turned over to the North Branford Fire Marshal's office for investigation.
