North Branford Firefighters Make Quick Work of Late Morning Kitchen Fire, Knocked Down in Minutes
The Venta Drive fire was reported at 11:24 a.m. Monday. North Branford's bravest had the fire under control at 11:47 a.m.
NORTH BRANFORD, CT — A working kitchen fire on Venta Drive late Monday morning had firefighters springing into action.
According to the all-volunteer North Branford Fire Department Headquarters Co. 1, at 11:24 a.m., the North Branford 911 Communications Center received a call for a reported kitchen fire on Venta Drive.
The fire company arrived on scene at 25 Venta Drive, with smoke showing from the side of the structure. Firefighters found all occupants were out of the house.

Engine 2 stretched a 1 3/4" handline and knocked the bulk of the fire at 11:37.
Companies 1 and 3 began overhaul operations in the kitchen while Truck 1s crew made entry to the attic to check for extension.The incident was placed under control at 11:47.

There were no injuries reported from the incident.
The fire is currently under investigation by the North Branford Fire Marshall's Office.
