Animal control officers Buffone and Broughal went there and tried to take the recliner apart to safely remove the kitty, but the recliner was more sophisticated than the tools the ACOS had so they called our amazing North Branford firefighters who had all the equipment needed to take it apart and save the kitty!

Great job and thank you for helping us!

Please let other pet owners know that animals can unfortunately get stuck in recliners, and we have had situations where the animals have passed away. It is important to think of animals like having a constant 2-year-old toddler in your home, they get into everything, put things in their mouths, stick their noses in places they shouldn’t and find ways into situations they can’t get out of. Luckily for this kitty, she didn’t have a scratch on her!"
