North Branford High School Alumnus Tries to Help Entrepreneurial Students Launch Their Ideas
Chris Olsen is a Junior at the University of Connecticut and the Vice President of the CEO organization.

My name is Chris Olsen. I graduated North Branford High School in 2013. I am currently a Junior at the University of Connecticut where I am studying Mechanical Engineering. I am reaching out to my local community today in search of support.
I am fortunate to be the on-campus vice president of an entrepreneurial organization. We call ourselves CEO | Creating Economic Opportunity. Our mission is to provide students across all disciplines the opportunity to engage in entrepreneurial activities in a professional environment. Our model is such that our members do not have to risk their own finances as they go about turning their ideas into reality.
In the short-run, the model is possible, but we have our sights set on going bigger. With this in mind, we have launched a GoFundMe campaign. This funds that we raise form this campaign will be invested directly into CEO. This will allow us to provide more resources for our members, attract new members, and develop more chapters across campuses. The link to our campaign is: https://www.gofundme.com/collegiate-ceo

I hope that you find a moment in your day to take a look at some of the things a group of college students can accomplish. None of this has been easy, but every member of the organization will attest to the fact that in this moment, it is all worth it. I believe that launching this campaign is the next chapter for CEO. We are a unique organization, and I am very proud to share with my local community. I will leave you with a few words the E-board and I have put together...
Hello,
We are Creating Economic Opportunity (CEO), a next generation entrepreneurship organization focused on giving college students the opportunity to develop their ideas collaboratively. By doing so, they are able to apply what they learn from classes into tangible skills and develop themselves personally as leaders and innovators through the process. The best part of this, is that once the ideas are fully developed, they can be launched as businesses that will create jobs and help stimulate the U.S. economy.
We have been in operation testing our organization concept at the University of Connecticut since 2011, and have since developed 3 highly viable ideas and business opportunities. These projects are near ready to launch, and our organization is looking forward to expanding to other colleges, but we are in need of funding in order to do so. Over the past few years we have worked to raise our own funds but now must turn to the general public for support. We are launching a GoFundMe campaign, which is an online platform for the public to easily and quickly support good causes. This will aid us in getting the funds that are needed to grow and fulfill CEO's purpose.
All we ask of you is this, please help us get our message out to the world, so we may fully carry out our mission and bring this opportunity to many other students nationwide. Our official launch date is Thursday, April 7, 2016, and we need to raise the funds within 2 months. We've also tied our campaign to an effort we call the "Tower for an Hour" Challenge. With that, we plan to build the world's tallest Solo Cup tower, using 5000 Solo Cups. For each donation made equal to a single hour's pay, your personalized message will be written on a cup, and be added to our Tower.
If you have any questions at all about our organization, campaign, or efforts, feel free to reach out to us through this email any time. You can also reach our President and Founder directly via 203-843-5328.
Thank you for your time, and we appreciate your support.
