North Branford Man Arrested in $10,000 Check Fraud Case
The 60-year-old suspect was arrested on a warrant by Westport police this week.
WESTPORT, CT — A 60-year-0ld North Branford man was arrested on a larceny charge this week for illegally trying to deposit a $10,000 check into his bank account, according to Westport police.
Robert Tricarico was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Larceny 2nd degree on July 26. Police said he allegedly deposited the check, which belonged to his daughter, and "was unable to explain why he deposited the check into his account."
Additionally, he has been unable to repay the amount. Tricarico was held in lieu of a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Aug. 4.
