North Branford Man Charged with DWI in New York

Police said his BAC was more than two times the legal limit.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT – A local resident faces a drunk-driving charge and more in New York.

New York State Police said that at 1:41 a.m. Aug. 29, they stopped a vehicle on I-287 for multiple unspecified traffic violations.

The trooper concluded the driver, Luis A. Pozo-Mora of North Branford was intoxicated. The 46-year-old was transported and processed at the state police barracks in Tarrytown.

Police allege his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.18 percent, more than twice the legal limit.

Pozo-Mora was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Harrison Court on Sept. 20.
