North Branford Native Named Human Resources Director for The Watermark at East Hill

Christine Woodman, native and longtime resident of North Branford, named Director of Human Resources for Southbury senior living community

The Watermark at East Hill is pleased to announce the recent hire of Christine Woodman as Director of Human Resources for the retirement community, located at 611 East Hill Road in Southbury.

Woodman has more than 17 years of experience in the human resources industry. Prior to joining The Watermark, she held a variety of HR positions in Connecticut and New York before ultimately transitioning into the continuing care retirement community industry earlier this year.

“We are thrilled to welcome Christine to the team,” said Connie Haworth, Executive Director at The Watermark at East Hill. “Her extensive experience and forward-thinking approach to HR practices will support our efforts to expand the staff and the services offered at The Watermark at East Hill.”

As the Human Resources Director, Woodman’s responsibilities include handling employee relations issues and benefits, and supporting the various management teams at The Watermark. She will also play an active role in the hiring, screening and staffing process for future employees at the community.

“This is my first experience working in a continuing care retirement community; I haven’t been here long, and I’ve already been blown away by the warm and friendly environment the associates at The Watermark at East Hill create for their residents,” said Woodman. “I look forward to continuing to assist our current staff, and to help the community grow through the addition of employees that strive to create environments where seniors can thrive.”

A native and longtime resident of North Branford, Woodman received her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Relations from the University of Connecticut and her Master’s degree in Organizational Management and Human Resource Development from Manhattanville College. She currently resides in Bridgeport with her three cats, Bosley, Bailey and Moo.
