North Branford Police Dog Captures Felony Suspect
A K9 is being recognized for capturing a suspect in a domestic violence case who fled into a wooded area.
NORTH BRANFORD, CT — A police dog is being lauded for capturing a suspect in a domestic violence case, according to a police Facebook post. Police received a call regarding a domestic violence incident in Northford.
Police arrived and found the suspect had fled the home into a dark, wooded area. K9 Chance and his handler Officer Cosenza were sent to the scene.
The K9 tracked the suspect over 200 years into the wooded area, finding the suspect within minutes. The suspect was taken into custody without injury.
