North Branford Police Looking To Hire A Public Safety Dispatcher

The person hired for the $25 an hour job is responsible for communication with town public safety agencies and public work's department.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — The North Branford Police Department is looking to hire a part-time certified public safety dispatcher.

"If you are looking for a chance to work in an amazing community and be an integral member of this department and town, then we have the job for you," police wrote on Facebook.

The Public Safety Dispatcher job pays $25 an hour. The person hired is responsible for the operation of the Town’s Communication system and works under the general direction of the Police Chief or on duty supervisory police personnel. The person hired is responsible for communication with all public safety agencies in the town and the public work’s department. The dispatcher answers calls on the Enhanced-911 computerized system and the communications center telephone system. They're responsible for the dispatching of police cruisers, fire apparatus, ambulances, wreckers and/or any other services as required, to handle emergency situations or disasters among other duties.
