2 To Be Charged In North Branford Robbery: Police
Two people will be charged in connection with the robbery of a Dollar General store, according to police.
NORTH BRANFORD, CT — Two people are accused of robbing the Dollar General store on Monday morning, according to police. Police received the call reporting the robbery at the 1111 Foxon Road store at 8:15 a.m.
Police arrived at the store and found a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of New Haven. The passenger cooperated with police and was taken into custody.
Police located the second suspect inside the store, who was not cooperative and attempted to attack and resist officers.

Police took the second suspect into custody. This suspect was later transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
"We are thankful for the quick reporting of this incident by the store employee and the quick response of all of our officers who responded to the scene," police wrote on Facebook.

No store employees or customers were injured. The investigation is ongoing and charges for all those involved will be forthcoming.
