North Branford's Unemployment Rate Holds Steady

According to the most recent statistics from the Connecticut Department of Labor, North Branford's unemployment rate remained steady at 6.8 percent. Of the town's 8,373-person workforce, 567 are unemployed.

North Branford's unemployment rate dipped below seven percent was in August 2009 when it was 6.9 percent with it being the lowest that year in April at 6.6 percent.

The town's unemployment rate is still below Connecticut's 7.6 percent unemployment rate with 142,300 of the 1,878,100-person labor force unemployed.
