North Branford School Bus Inadvertently Drives Into Wires, No One Hurt
Officials said actions of bus driver, the town and Guilford's emergency services and Eversource quick arrival meant "no danger" to students.
NORTH BRANFORD, CT —Early Friday morning, a North Branford school bus "turning around in Guilford, inadvertently drove into downed electrical wires as a result of high winds from today's storm," police said. There were no injuries and all the students were transported by the same bus to school, school officials noted.
According to North Branford Police Chief Kevin Halloran, "the driver of the bus acted quickly, calling 911 which prompted a response from both North Branford and Guilford emergency services." And, Eversourse representatives "quickly responded and made the wires safe," Halloran said.
The incident occurred at 7:18 a.m.
