North Branford Seeks Professional Cleaning Services

Town officials will open bids this week for the service contract.

NORTH BRANFORD, CT - The town is seeking professional cleaning services for four municipal buildings, according to officials.

Bids on the services will be opened and read aloud Wednesday, May 25, at 11 a.m. in the Town Manager's Office in Town Hall on Foxon Road. The town has been accepting bids on the proposal for just under a month; how many bids it has received was not immediately known.

When a decision will be made concerning the winning bid was not disclosed, but services are to begin on July 1.

The four buildings that will be cleaned are Town Hall, Police Headquarters, the Public Works garage and Co. 4 Ambulance building.

Officials were seeking a one-year contract with the option to extend it for two additional years by mutual decision.

Cleaning would be done evenings Monday through Friday, with Sunday cleaning at the police station.

The contract would not call for cleaning during the 12 holidays town government observes.
