North Branford Social Service/Kill-A-Watt
Kill-A-Watt meters available to all North Branford and Northford residents. Measuring your electricity, where is your money going?

Kill-A-Watt meters are now available in both Smith and Atwater Library. Meters identify which items in your home are using the most amount of electricity as well as how much power is used per day, per month or per year. Once you know the amount of power an item uses you can then determine how much that item costs you in dollars, per day, month or year. Each meter checked out of the library will also come with the directions. The meter is simple to use. Plug the meter into a wall outlet, plug the appliance into the meter, press the purple button to display kilowatts. At the end of the day you will see a number on the display of the meter, multiply that number by your electric rate. You can find your electric rate on your electric bill.
