North Branford's 7-Day Forecast Includes Cooler Temps, Chance of Thunderstorms

The summer-like feel of this past weekend will continue into mid-week, and then temperatures will moderate for a few days.

In fact, if you enjoy warmer temps, enjoy today’s sunny skies with a high of about 80 degrees.

Things change late tonight with fog rolling in and staying until Tuesday morning’s commute, and then there is a chance of some showers and thunderstorms with temps in the lows 80s. The rain threat is less than 50 percent, according to the National Weather Service.

Beginning on Wednesday, the good news is it will be sunny, but temps will be hovering in the low to mid 60s until Friday when we could hit 70 degrees.

The initial forecast for the upcoming weekend calls for a chance of rain on Saturday, only 30 percent at this time, and sunny skies on Sunday. Again temperatures will struggle to hit the upper 60s next weekend.

• Tonight: Patchy fog after midnight. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. South wind 5 to 10 mph.
• Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3pm. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. Light southwest wind increasing to 8 to 13 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• Tuesday night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 54. West wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
• Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 65. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.
• Wednesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 43.
• Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 67.
• Thursday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 46.
• Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 70.
• Friday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49.
• Saturday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 68. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
