Northford Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash In Branford: Police

The motorcyclist died after a crash with another vehicle, according to police.

BRANFORD, CT — A Northford man was killed in a motorcycle crash Thursday in Branford, according to police.

Police responded to the 300 block of East Main Street around 6:30 p.m. on the report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries.

An investigation found that a motorcycle was traveling west on East Main Street when “they collided with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction that turned in front of them,” according to police.

Police said the motorcycle operator, a 56-year-old Northford resident, was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. The man’s identity wasn’t immediately released by police.

The other driver remained at the scene and was cooperative, according to police.
