Obit: Newborn Annelise Joy Melillo of North Branford

Annelise Joy Melillo, born on May 2nd, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love and in her father's arms, at home on May 4th. Her short time on earth provided a lifetime of memories.Annelise is the daughter of Adam and Maria Melillo and sister to Anderson.

She is celebrated by her maternal grandparents, Maria and Dave Anderson and Paul and Ann Dombrowski as well as her paternal grandmother, Donna Melillo. Annelise leaves behind her loving aunts and uncle, Sabrina Terilli, Michele Firine, Paul Dombrowski and cousin Celestina. She is preceded in death by paternal grandfather Rich Melillo, who is now kissing and hugging her tightly in heaven.

The family would like to thank the midwives at Women's Health Associates, the staff at Yale New Haven Hospital and a special thank you to Christine Mastropietro of Regional Hospice and Palliative Care of Connecticut for the incredible care she provided to Annelise and the entire family.A celebration of life event will be planned for a later date.Memorial donations may be made to the Trisomy 18 Foundation ( www.trisomy18.org ) or Regional Hospice (regionalhospicect.org).
