Obituary: Donald Rynne O’Connor, 62, of North Branford
Donald loved his animals, loved to cook and enjoyed having people try his food. Before retiring, he was an IBEW Local 90 electrician.
Donald Rynne O’Connor, 62, of North Branford beloved husband of Colleen Celotto O’Connor passed away on September 18, 2023 at his home. Loving father of Rynne and Shannon O’Connor both of North Branford. Brother of Eileen and Erin O’Connor of Hamden, Maura (Bill Wozniak) O’Connor of Wallingford, Sharon (Tony) Lucas of Cheshire, John O’Connor of Hamden and David (Elaine) O’Connor of Wallingford and the late Linda Bechard. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Donald was born in New Haven on May 9, 1961 son of Helena Rynne O’Connor of Hamden and the late John E. O’Connor.
Donald loved his animals, loved to cook and enjoyed having people try his food. Prior to his retirement Donald worked as an electrician for IBEW Local 90 and was a member of the Meriden Rod & Gun Club.

His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven FRIDAY AFTERNOON at 12:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 1:00. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call THURSDAY from 5pm to 8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
