Obituary: Eleanor Furman, 87, Of North Branford

NORTH BRANFORD, CT - Eleanor T. Farkash Furman of North Branford, died Wednesday November 8, 2017 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the wife of the late Bennett V. Furman. Eleanor was born in North Branford December 8, 1929, daughter of the late Joseph and Eva Farkash. She had worked as a foreman for many years at Echlin Manufacturing in Branford, prior to retiring. She is survived by her children, Paige Furman of Hamden, Ranie Furman of North Branford, Bennett Furman, Jr. of Chicago, and Joseph (Jill) Furman of Guilford. She was predeceased by her siblings, Anna Ifkovic, John Farkash, Alexander Farkash, Joseph Farkash, Mary Ignatowski, Rose Haynes, Margaret Dziurgot and Catherine Altrui.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday morning at 10:00 in St. Augustine Church, North Branford. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
