Obituary: Emilio Lucatino, 80, of Northford

Emilio Lucatino, 80, of Northford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 4, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband to Maria DiMatteo Lucatino for 60 years. Emilio was born in Gioia Sannitica, Province of Caserta, Italy on July 2, 1938 and was the son of the late Vincenzo and Rosa Troiano Lucatino.

He had worked for Blakeslee, Arpaia & Chapman for many years until his retirement. Emilio loved spending time with his family and teaching his children and grandchildren all of his Italian traditions, making homemade wine and tomato sauce, gardening and playing Italian cards.

Father of Vincent (Judite) Lucatino, Rosa (Albert) DeLeo, Linda DiVirgilio, Louis (Luann) Lucatino, Albert (Lisa) Lucatino and John (Michele) Lucatino. Brother of Livia (Raffaele) D’Antonio, Lorenzo (Fiorgia) Lucatino, John (Regina) Lucatino, Josephine (Livio) Zurlo, Enrico (Alphonsina) Lucatino and the late Michael Lucatino, Margaret (Angelo) Fiondella and Joseph Lucatino. Brother-in-law of Michelina and Nancy Lucatino. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Alan Rodriguez and also to the VNA Hospice nurses Christi and Kirsten for their care and compassion.
