Obituary: Eva Nobile, 94
She proudly served as one of the first groups of women in the military for the U. S. Navy Waves in World War II.

Eva Nobile of Branford, died Sunday August 20, 2017 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of the late George Nobile. Mrs. Nobile was born in North Branford on January 25, 1923, daughter of the late Dominic and Nellie D’Antonio Osimo. She proudly served as one of the first groups of women in the military for the U. S. Navy Waves in World War II.
She worked as a receptionist for Beazley Realty for many years before retiring. Eve was very active and was a member of a bowling team into her 80’s. She was also a member of The Womens Club. She loved to cook for her family and friends and always had a new sewing or knitting project she was working on.
In her later years, she became quite the cat lover and adopted older medically fragile cats which she lovingly cared for. Eve is survived by her family for whom she was very proud of: her children, Claudia (Bob) Bradley, Brian (Maureen) Nobile, and Vanessa (Roger) Reale all of Branford; her grandchildren, Sara (Scott) Monde, Katy (Chris) Blanchette, Amy Bradley, Jeff and Greg Nobile, Matt and Molly Reale, Emily (Dick) Reale Radford; her great-grandchildren, Ryan and Jack Monde, Elizabeth Reale, Patrick, Kellen, and Maeve Blanchette, and Deacon Charles Radford as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Timothy Nobile, a grandson Scott Nobile, and her three sisters and brother for whom she dearly missed. The family would like to thank the staff of Branford Hills Healthcare Center, where Eva recently resided, for the care she received there.
