Obituary: Joann Patricia Vitello Digioia, 58, of Northford
She was a realtor for Caldwell Banker for the past 16 years, and was a member of the New Haven-Middlesex Board of Realtors.

Joann Patricia Vitello Digioia, 58, of Northford, formerly of West Haven died peacefully at her home on Monday, April 23, 2018 after a long battle with cancer, and with her loving family by her side. Joann was born in New Haven on November 4, 1959, a daughter of Patricia Lovelace Perugini of Northford, and the late John Vitello, Jr. She had resided in West Haven for most of her life, and in Northford for the past 25 years.
She was a realtor for Caldwell Banker for the past 16 years, and was a member of the New Haven-Middlesex Board of Realtors. In addition to her mother, Joann is survived by her step-father Robert Perugini of Northford, one daughter, MaryJane Vitello of Northford and her beloved companion, Joseph Alley of Wallingford, five sisters, Teresa Gambrell of New Haven, Carol Longo of North Branford, Patricia (Thomas) Schmidt of Northford, Michele Gianfriddo of Bristol, and Daniela (Michael) Basher of Madison, two brothers, John Vitello, III and Robert (Ada) Vitello of New Haven, her two beloved grandsons, Joseph Alley, Jr. and Nathan Alley of Northford, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Joann's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, April 28th from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 5:30 p.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions in Joann's name may be made to Help Willy's Friends, P.O.
