Obituary: Sally D. Grogan, 89, of North Branford
With successful careers in insurance and banking, she enjoyed family time, travel, winters in Florida, gardening, cooking, bowling and bocce

Sally D. Grogan, 89, of North Branford, peacefully entered into eternal life June 21, 2023 in the presence of her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late George A. Grogan, Jr. for 45 years.
She was born July 28, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Salvatore M. and Beatrice M. DeTrano. She leaves a brother Salvatore M. DeTrano, Jr. (Peggy) of Laurel, NY. Her life’s legacy will continue to be cherished by her children, Steven E. Grogan (Ann) of Atkinson, NH, and Kathryn G. Morgan of Branford; four grandchildren, Kaitlynn Tower (Greg), Gregory Morgan (Kelly Reilly), Emily Kaminska (Jeff), Andrew Grogan (Abby Weinberg), and great-grandchildren, Morgan Tower, Raegan and Jack Kaminska. She was predeceased by her son, Robert E. Grogan, and great-granddaughters Natalie and Juliet Kaminska.

After graduation from Prospect Heights High School in Brooklyn, she moved to Connecticut and resided in North Branford for 65 years. She completed successful careers in insurance and banking. Throughout her career and participation in numerous community, spiritual, and neighborhood endeavors, she was revered for her magnetic personality and selfless dedication to family and friends. Sally was known for establishing lifelong relationships and embedding a little piece of Sally in all whom came in contact. Family time and family traditions were her number one priority. Traveling abroad, winters in Florida, gardening, cooking, bowling, and bocce were some of her favorite pastimes.
Visiting hours are Thursday June 29th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home Friday June 30th at 10:00 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Ambrose Parish at St. Augustine Church, 30 Caputo Road, North Branford. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
