Speranza T. “Sally” DeCrosta Gatta, 90, of North Branford passed away June 22, 2018 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Haven on August 6, 1927 she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Josephine Raiano DeCrosta.

She leaves sons, Dominic (Barbara) Gatta of East Haven and Michael Gatta of Waterbury, a daughter, Cynthia (Roy) Volta of North Branford, a daughter-in-law Rowena Gatta of Branford, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a great great grandson.

She was predeceased by sisters, Frances Small and Mary DeCrosta, brothers, Benjamin (Rose), Anthony, Philip, John and James DeCrosta and a sister-in-law Vriginia Gatta Serletti.

Sally was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A special thank you to Dr. David Riccio and his Staff for all the loving care over the years.Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon rd. (Rte 80) East Haven Tuesday morning at 11:00. A Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church in North Haven at 11:30. Interment will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call TUESDAY MORNING from 9:30-11:00.
