Obituary: Walter Wright Henry Jr., 71, Of North Branford

NORTH BRANFORD, CT — (From North Haven Funeral Home): Walter Wright Henry Jr., 71, of North Branford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Donna Benson Henry.

Walter was born in New Haven on April 22, 1951 and was the son of the late Walter W. Henry Sr. and Catherine P. Lamano Henry Benson.

He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy and worked as a barber during his time of service from 1972 to 1975 and later in the reserves. Over the years, he worked at the Burndy Corporation, Owens Illinois, and Star Distributors to name a few.

Loving father of Sherriann Raffone (Paul), grandfather of Paul Jr. and Angelo Raffone. Beloved brother of Julie Henry-DiLeornardo (Gerald). Also survived by his nieces and nephews Lorrie Odice, Dominic DiLeonardo (Brianna), Tracy and Michael Carbrey and other extended family. He is predeceased by his sisters Mary Demetrion (Jeffrey), and Diane Carbrey (Owen), as well as his brother Fredrick (Butch) Henry.

The visiting hours will be on Tuesday, June 21 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A service and full military honors will be conducted in the funeral home at 6 p.m. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
