Police: Caller's Report of Shooting in North Branford Was False

North Branford Police say that the early Thursday morning call from a man reporting that several people were shot at a Bailey Road home was a hoax.

North Branford officers, with support from Guilford and East Haven Police, responded to the home about 3:30 a.m. Thursday but determined that there weren’t any shootings and no one was injured at the home, police told The New Haven Register.

The man who purportedly made the call was brought to an area hospital for evaluation, according to The Register story that can be found here.
