Showcase of Dogs at Evergreen Woods on Saturday, May 14 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.

"A fun day for us all," says Peter Welsh, Executive Director, and benefiting a worthy cause: Daniel Cosgrove Animal Shelter.

Dogs of all shapes and size – Labradors, assorted terriers, St. Bernards, mutts and more – will strut their stuff again this year at Evergreen Woods, a full-service retirement community in North Branford, Connecticut.

The community’s annual showcase of dogs, Dogs on Parade, is Saturday, May 14 from 10:00 – 12:00 at the community, located at 88 Notch Hill Road in North Branford.

“This is a fun day for us all,” said Peter Welsh, Executive Director. “Residents, families, friends, neighbors and associates come together to celebrate our four-legged friends. It’s a blast.”

“It’s exciting to see all the dogs and their owners – and look for a resemblance,” said Evergreen Woods resident, Ernie Busch. “In fact, we ought to have a prize for the best resemblance!” He and wife, Heidi, attend the dog parade every year, faithfully.

The event doesn’t just bring the community together, it is also a fundraiser for a worthy cause. Now in its 13th year, proceeds from Dogs on Parade benefit Branford’s Daniel Cosgrove Animal Shelter.
